Default Engine size ..?

I am looking to put a new engine in my car (95 ES). What engine would be best. I would like to get more power then the 2.5L can offer.

There's not much that will fit in our engine bays. I agree with the 3.0L swap which will add a bit more power. Add a turbo and get a few more ponies. You can also keep the 2.5L size and turbo that. I would however get a multi layer head gasket, ARP head studs, and forged internals if you want to run higher than 10psi boost pressures.
