Hey man i cant get my remote start to actually start the car. It cranks and turns my radio on but it dont turn the dash lights on and wont start? what would cause this ????

Well what BRAND dou you have ??? has it worked before ??? New install ???

 

ok so i got it working lol. i was haven one heck of a rough time doing this install it has like 50 wires to it. it was my tach wire i had to tape in to the white wire at the pcm and it works now. one thing the i need ta know the right wire for the ligths. i tried the green wire at the light switch in the igniton spot and nothing. which green wire is it underneath down in the kick panel do you know??? and for my auto windows up option how do i get that to work?? do i need a relay cause it cam with a relay and a harness for the relay. here is a link to which one i have maybe it will help out..

Since I've never touched that one I have no idea on the windows up ( I only do Viper DEI)... Here's the wiring for the alarm I get the lights as listed in the steering column

 

Well hey i am also encountering a similar problem with my keyless entry/engine start remote... but mine will not lock and unlock... i have a Xplore XR-7025.. if anyone is familiar with this.. please reply back and i will explain what i did to not make it lock and unlock.. and now if i try to unlock it with my key then it will unlock the actual car alarm system. but my keyless remote system still says its locked and flips out and the alarm wont stop going off.. so i unplugged the battery cable to shut it up.. and every time i try to put it back on the damn alarm keeps going off.

 

After unplugging almost ALL alarms go of automatically .Otherwise theives would disconnect the battery and plug it back in disarming the alarm... Hit the button to disarm it it should reset ..

 

it will disarm it, but it still wont lock or unlock the car... i even took out teh whole security box and plugged it back in.. it worked for about a min. and then stopped.. now it will not lock or unlock again

 

Does it have a Valet switch ???

 

umm. idk ha explain to me what that is?? well what i did to cause this problem was.. i was clicking the middle button which illuminates the choices on the romote one at a time.. i never really got to know what all the buttons meant so i illuminated the car. and the arrows on both sides started moving back and forth and since then my car will not lock or unlock or start (from the remote!!!)

 

sounds like you did something via remote ... break out the manual and see if you can reset it
