P1294, 4000rpm idle, only when hot
she only does it when in city traffic for long periods of time when the temp is 80+. otherwise she is the same as she has always been. let her cool down and all is well again.
it's been hot here lately and i can't drive her in town like this. been driving my truck (no a/c, kinda rough right now)
sorry if this has been answered before. i did a search for p1294 and everyone seemed to be experiencing it consistently. because it is only when exceptionally hot for a period of time, i figured it was a sensor, but which, i have no idea.
i have seen it said that this code means target idle not reached. my code reader says manufacturer controlled air/ fuel metering.
any ideas welcome. thank you for your time and efforts.
