Default Exhaust

I'm getting a new exhaust for my 97 2.5L Venge and I'm stuck deciding on a flowmaster 40 seriesor magnaflow. I just wanted to know if anyone had any expertise on which one is better sounding. thanks

hey man i guess im the right guy for this, considering iveheard the exact ones that u are wanting... well first off, i have the Flowmaster 40 series on my venger... its def. the best sounding exhaust out of the 2. but its still not very loud. when i hit certain rpm's the sound like almost dies on me. ive been wanting to get a high flow catalytic converter to help out the sound but havent had time to yet. i also heard the magnaflow and to tell u the truth there wasnt much of a diff from a stock sound to magnaflow sound. i dont know if it is just our cars motors arent big enough to produce a good sound out of the mufflers but to me flowmaster was still the best sounding out of the 2. so if u are planning on either, i would defenetely suggest getting a high flow catalytic converter to help out the sound.
i bought my flowmaster 40 at a muffler shop down the road and it ran me about $111 for purchase and installation.
Thanks a lot
Tell me what u go with.
Jeremy

well i my brother had a high flow cat put on his exhaust just because his old cat was filled with junk. and his high flow made a big difference in the sound.. it def made it louder. but like i said i never had the time to go out and get a high flow for my venge so im not sure how much louder it will make ours tho.. but yes it will for sure make it louder.

i've got the flowmaster 40 on my 2.5l and it sounds good. gets a good gurgle-ish sound on the down-rev. i could try to get a video up if you want to hear it.
