Default New here Prob with 98 avenger

I have a 98 2.5 es avenger. I am having transmission problems and was looking for some input.
Here are the details:
I was driving about 45 when the gears went down to 2nd and wouldn't do anything over 40 without winding the engine out. I thought it was low on tran fluid so I checked and no it was fine. The ck engine light came on as this happend. I had a friend pull codes and was told 7 codes came up. I spoke with several people and was told to get a trans shift solen. (@ 207.00) I had it replaced and the car drove fine for all of a 1\2 hour. then it started shifting really hard into 2, 3. Then the ck engine light came on again and it dropped back to 2nd. I then spoke with another person today and he also pulled 7 codes. the ones I saw were 12, 35..... He suggested I try replacing the speed sensors. I had those replaced today and it shifted hard but was shifting until I took it on the highway and then again it dropped down the gears.....................GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....
I am wondering if at all possible it could be the wiring to these parts above that I have replaced. The trans fluid is red and not brown and the car is shifting harder than before, but shifting (when I have someone Put parts in this area). Or is the computer just resetting? Please help!! I don't want to have to buy any more parts for this.... I am now being told it may be internal, but I don't think it would be internal and then be shifting too??.....

My suggestion is to replace the fluid with MOPAR ATF+3 or 4. Your tranny isn't going into limp mode until it gets hot, which is a sign of the fluid breaking down.
I do have to ask how old the tranny fluid is and where did you get it replaced?

...also, what were the other codes?

Well to be honest I have had the car for four years and have never done anything to the tranny. I never had prob. with it and the trans fluid was always good and never thought to have that changed. I had a mechanic ( who worked with nothing but Dodge\Chyr trans for 12 yrs at the dealership)check the fluid yesterday he didn't seem to think their was anything wrong with the fluid. He is also the one who pulled the codes. I don't remember all the codes but I do know that they were all related. Can I go somewhere like auto zone and have them pull codes?
It isn't hot when I first start it in the am and it still does the Not shifting thing after sitting all night, when the tranny is cold.
Any more suggestions?? I will have the tran fluid ckecked. Anything is better than nothing at this point.
Thanks

Yes, you can go to autozone and they'll pull the codes for free. Make sure to write them down and post them here too
Does your tranny still make a racheting noise when shifting into any of the gears (reverse, drive, park)?

Only if it's no longer doing it when going from park to drive or park and reverse, then it means something.
It's in limp mode so it will stay in only one forward gear, 2nd, so it shouldn't make that ratcheting noise when going from a stop to a roll.

It isn't I actually checked this yesterday to make sure, and it no longer does this when going into reverse and from drive to park. AND when the car is actually reset and does shift it isn't doing then either.. you know when it down shifts...well it doesn't do it then either now....
Thanks for all your help!!
