Do you think the sounds are coming from my calibers?

These are my rear brakes.

I don't think they coming from the calipers. I think the noise is coming from the pads. They don't have shims on them at all. I'm pretty sure both pads are supposed to have shims. I would also put some brake silencer, or whatever you'd like to call it, on the metal pieces that hold the pad in place. You can also try spreading them open more so that the pads aren't allowed to move around on them as much.

 

yes they should have a stainless back up plate behind those pads ...

 

Can you show me an example on a stainless backup plate?
