Default RE: update on my venge

ok the guy at the shop swapped my radiator with an abandoned avenger and it runs cool now,(the one I had in it was filled with stop leak he showed me the gunk!!)but the catalaytic converter was red hot!! Apperantly my dadwho had just had his prostate removed only had enough strength to change the plugs and wires on the front half of the motor..So I'm changing out the others Monday and will see if that fixes the converter heating up.If not I'll cut it off and put a piece of temp pipe till a muffler guy can fix it by welding it.(I'm in Oklahoma so emmissions won't be a problem.) But is there a sensor that might get tripped if there is no CC?
