Okay so i have a 95 Dodge Avenger v6. Does anyone know how I can scan my warning lights? I dont have an owners manual. Its my coolant and check engine light that need scanning. Thanks

 

Do the Keydance Method.
put the key in the ignition... turn it to ACC do not crank the engine
turn back to On.
(ACC, ON) (ACC, ON) (ACC,ON) repeat this 3 times.
then leave the key on Acc. and the check engine light will blink the codes.

 

or u can just go to somewhere like autozone and they will scan it for free.

 

I thought the key dance wuz only for 97 and up Venges?

 

autozone my not be able to scan a 1995 thru 1997 avengers, because you need a two pig tail harness for the OBD connector. The coolantmaybe low and causing the coolant lite to come on. ck your coolant bottle. if it is still on , replace the sensor..

 

oh well idk maybe the keydance is for the 97+ i have a 97 and it works for mine but im not sure about the 95 sorry bout that.

 

the key dance works fine in my 95 es 2.5

 

I have no idea if this works on a 95 Avenger but it does not hurt to try (works on later years) and does nit hurt to mention. With the ignition off, press and hold the odometer reset button, while still holding, start the car. After a couple seconds, release the button. If it works for your particular car, the cluster will go thru a self test of all the lights and gauges. Hope it works for you.
