so i bought some 3 1/2 inch speakers, and replaced my front ones. i planned to do some modding and bore the whole out 1/4th of an inch all the way around. but i tried to get them in there just to see if they would look ok and sound good. i pushed some of the metal connectors that hang off of the side upwards, and the speaker doesnt fit all that bad. it could be better, but the system sounds so much better than it did. ive read a bunch of questions on here about that, and thought id get my 2 cents in.

 

The bose home tweeters are the BEST replacement both quality and fit wise
