CPS (Details)
I've been hearing a lot about the CPS sensor in relation to rough idiling and bad starts. If it's not too much of a hassle, could someone give me their expert opinion on the following questions:
1. What exactly does the CPSmeanand what does it do?
2.Where is it located on a 1997 Dodge Avenger ES 2.5 6 cylinder? What does it look like?
3. Are there any tricks in replacing this myself? (I have very limited knowledge on auto mechanics)
I'm asking these questions in advance, as I'm going to be replacing the wires (I've already done the plugs, distributor cap, fuel filter). If the new wires do nothelp my rough idling and sometimes bad starts,I'm going to target the somewhat infamous CPS.
Although I'm green, I'm very determined to fix this!
Photos would be great to.
Thanks to all who respond.
