I was looking at subs earlier and I'm trying to find a replacement for the two 12" Kicker Solo Baracs I have right now.

My first question is, what exactly does an Ohm determine when it comes to the sound of the speakers? And secondly what would be a good replacement for the speakers I have right now? I have 1,000 watt audiophonics amp, 2 channel.. and I'm looking to spend around 200-250 for the subs and box together.

Ohms ( resistance) only realy comes into play with the amp and how the subs are wired ... you need to know what the specs are on the amp 1000 watts at what ohms ....
