When I start the car, it always revs really high for about 2 seconds, goes up to about 2k rpm's then comes back to 800 or so, then it's fine. I've cleaned out the throttle body and installed a new IAC but no help.I checked the air temp sensor and it reads 10kohms @75deg but I don't know what it should read. (AlsoIt also acts like it wants to stall sometimes at a red light. If I put it in neutral then it's ok. Probably not related, but I thought I'd add that.)

 

I'd check the EGR next ... I'm assuming no CEL ...

What size motor? I have the I4, and had the same prob but it was the rubberhose running off my intake that ran across the fire wall.

 

I have a 2.0 liter. I'll have to take a look at the hoses.

I was going toget a new egr valvebut I'llsee if I can find that hose you mean and check that first.
