I've got a 2000 Dodge Avenger....that I just recently changed the water pump, upper and lower hoses, and my thermostat. I thought the old water pump was leaking and that replacing it would fix my problem, but it is still occurring and every two or three days I have to fill my reserve up to the proper level.

Can anyone help me with any suggestions on how I can permantently fix this problem?????

I havin the same prob. Did the water pupm and timing and she's smokin. What type of motor is it?
On my I4 I finnaly traced it down to being the thermostat housing. But you can just get a coolant presure tester hook it up and pump it up till you find coolant leaking. Or be lazy and quick like me an bring her up to 6grand with a fan in front and watch it.

 

Does the oil look OK ??? not like coffee with cream???

Did you replace the radiator cap ???
a weak cap can cause it to boil out prematurely
