Hey guys, nice forum, first post!!!

My car: 97 Avenger ES 2.5V6 17" factory aluminum "star" shaped wheels silver with poslished lip all the way around. 215/50/17 tires. Car is 100% stock. 176K miles

My wheels are all bent up....every single one of them and the tires are shot. I found a guy wanting to sell the wheels and tires off his 07 Avenger. I know the bolt pattern is the same... but thats all I know. They are the factory 18" polished stock wheels and brand new tires everything has about 300 miles on it. The tires are 205/55/18's. By looking online my tires now are 25.5" tall and these are just under 27" tall.

Will this wheel and tire combo fit on my car with no other mods??


Also, on the timing belt. I popped my cover on the of the engine and the belt looks good, no cracks or splits.... is there anything else that I need to check it for? how do I check the tension. Do most belts break because of age/miles, or do they slip from stretching??

The rims from the 2nd gen Avengers... They would fit but just barley because you using a bigger rim and thiker side walls. 205 is the width 55 is the % of the width that goes into the sidewall and you already know 18 is the rim size. Just got to his house and swap 2 tires and see how they look.

The timimbelt I would just get replaced as soon as you can. Not too many ppl keep up with that because its so exspensive. I rather be safe than sorry.

im assuming the rims will fit on there. the only trouble they would give you is that since the sidewall is the same size as the stock 16s (95s and 96s), that i would assume that the speedometer would read wrong with the same tires on there. so if the rims do fit, getting different tires wouldnt be a bad idea so that you would know how fast your actually going...
