hey was just wondering what is interchangeable with eclipses...

i have a 96 v6 and was wondering if i could use things like:
-from a 96 eclipse(not v6)

/strut bar

/mirrors

/seats

/side skirts?

just wanting to know what is and what's not usable..

There are people on this forum who have done a complete drivetrain swap from an AWD Talon to the Avenger...which is basically an Eclipse. From what I know, most of its capable of being swapped, simply a matter of matchin up paint and making it look good.

 

lol yeah do you realize how much custom work is involved in making the awd drivetrain work in an avenger??

none of the body panels work without modification.

 

strut bars can swap but need modifidied depending on brand ... neuspeed mitsu eclipse non turbo was no modification
mirrors will fit but don't match up perfect and require redrilling the mounting holesto bolt up
seats direct fit bolt right up , but don't recline as far as ours do
side skirts are about 8" too short

 

Will anything from a 94 eclipse fit, like rear disc brakes for example.

 

not positive on the first gens , I believe NO ... use the parts store ask for rear caliper part# for the 94 then the for a 95/99 same part and your good different # no

 

why aredodge partsso much more$ than the eclipse and talon?

 

eclipse and talon are a lot more popular and a lot more common.

1g parts are way different.

 

Dodge buys the parts from Mitsu and marks them up ... Remember the avengers were born in the Mitsu Plant in Normal Illinois

 

They do the same thing to the Cummins parts. It is cheaper to just buy it straight from Cummins.
