98 2.0L 4 Cyl / Valve Cover & Gasket
Well, I replaced the valve cover gasket. I was getting oil in the #1 and #4 spark plugs. A lot. So I bought the gasket with the 4 spark plug gaskets. Installed. I broke the '#2' bolt (according to the pattern to tighten). The rest snugged up just fine. I need to get that screw out and need to purchase a replacement. Anyone have the exact dimensions of this screw? Size? Length? Or am I better off just retapping it with a bit of a bigger size and buy a new screw? I know it has some plastic housing around the screw though. So I wanted to stick with the exactly screw. If anyone can point me to the proper place and part number to order these, that would be great. No leaks (yet), and runs beautifulynow that I replaced the spark plugs.
Any ideas for removal/retapping, and info on where to purchase a replacement bolt would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
I really showed that 8mm bolt who the boss is! UNF!

The easiest way is to remove another bolt take it to the hardware store and match it up ...
To remove the snapped off one and drill it with a left handed colbalt drill , many times it will catch and back it out, if not then use an easyout
