Default struts maybe?

i just got a new tranny put in around 6k miles ago. ball joints around 15k or so. but now when im accelerating or even turning sometimes to the left, if feels and sounds as the right front wheel is bouncing. hard to explain ont his forum. i found some monroe struts for a 95-99 non turbo eclipse on ebay for cheaper then avenger. i suppose these will work?

never had struts go bad before, any symptoms to tell if they are bad? thanks in advance.

With shock/struts going bad i first check if sturt is leaking fluid, then bounce the car and see if it settles after 3 motions (up once, back down, finnally up, and settles) If it keeps boncing then they are weak and need to be replaced. Also check for improper tire tread wear bad shocks/struts cause inner or outter wear of your tire leaving the center tread in almost brand new condition. If you can have someone drive you can and watch it as the person takes turns in your vehicle and/or as they go over bumps. There are probably other ways to test.

As far as Eclispe shocks working on our cars. I honestly don't know but I want to say yes since the rest of the steering system is the same. You'll have to wait till another member replies.

If you have a V6 I DO NOT recomend the eclipse struts ...
Jack up the car and pull on the right wheel , I've seen hub assemblies act that way when going bad

it sounds almost like a flat tire sorta. the same way it pops when hitting a pot hole or uneven pavement. yes i have the 2.5 as well. there is a guy around here that has some from a 95 for 30 bucks. the front only. but if they were for the 2.0 then no go huh?

my car has been making the same popping type sound when i put it in reverse and let off the brake quickly. ever since i had the super expensive tranny put in. i read something about the strut mounting maybe loose would that be on top of the struts where the aftermarket strut bar can go?
