Ok. Hey guys question. I got Dodge avenger ES 2000. Sometimes she just stops. I mean power electricly speacking power will be on, but spedometr and odometr will just go to 0's. It's not a battary, i think its a fuel pump relay . Did it ever happend to any one? I am lost and kind of panicking. How can i fix it?

 

If you suspect the fuel pump relay I'd remove the back seat bottom and pop the hatch behind the drivers seat then monitor the wires feeding the fuel pump for 12 volts ... When it dies and it still has voltage it's not that ... If it does lose 12 volts then the relays the likely culprit

I'd also check the white links On the + cable for internal corrosion or the CPS sensor can be intermittant

 

BUt waht if that is not a fuel pump. what elese could it be?

 

I HATE shootguning parts you replaced the huge list , but never really proved what was wrong and infact added other things that could cause it ... need to eliminate ONE thing at a time ...

 

Ok so i changed relay, and all the fuse and it stills radomly stops. What else could it be. How can i stop it? I really love the car but it's just dois on me.

 

Again NOT listening Did you CHECK for voltage at the fuel pump or just pop the part in ???

 

How do you check the voltage

 

With a volt meter.
