Default EGR

Hello, I just gave my little brothers1998 Avenger sport a tune up, plugs gas filter wires ect. and now the damn check engine light came on.AsI drive it the light will go off but comes back onagain, got the code checked andit indicates EGR valve has a problem. Is it really the egr valve or did i do something wrong or forget to do somethingwhen I did the tune up? Thanks

Since you had the plenum off to do the rear plugs I'd double check the connections ect on the middle rear of the plenum (EGR) valve ...

Will do. Because I did break the vacum hose and had to replace it but I will check everything else again. Let me ask you one thing. Should I replace the Plenum seal with a new one or some sort of sealant, because I didnt. The one that was on there looks ok but I dont know if I compromised the seal when I took off the Plenum. Thanks again.
