i just bought my car it's not a dodge avenger but it is a 96' chrysler sebring lxi so its basically the same car atleast i think i picked it up for $150 yes 150.00 dollars lol but it there are some problems with the motor but nothing major as far as i know and i noticed after i bought it that the passenger airbag cover not as flush as i think it should be then i noticed that the srs light is on so im guessing that it has been deploid and i need a new one does anybody have any info on prices for a used one or even new or jus any info on this problem at all... i wuz hoping that it had been deploid then replaced but the light just wuznt reset if that is even how it's done... please please please any help at all...

 

Some people have had the cover delaminate and curve causing the airbag to not sit right (nothing to do with a crash /deployment )
Only other common airrbag trouble is a bad clockspring in the drivers airbag (causing srs)
Reseting the SRS is dealer only thing

 

ok so most likley it jus needs to be reset and not replaced... that sounds good to me lol... is there anything u can tell me about the motor that i should know.. like anything that usually goes wrong with these cars... and is it hard to change the water pump?
