Default brake rotor..

mom just got new brakes put on her car... (mazda 6) i no it doesnt apply 2 this forum but its kinda a universal question.... anyways took it to a shop and got the all brakes and the back 2 rotors replaced.. driving home seemed good everything was fine.. but when i got home and out of the car there was a really strong smell of burning metal.... so right then i new sumthing wasnt right.. (im in the machining field and i no the smell when i smell it lol) & i looked at the new brake rotors they put on and one of them the whole thing turned a dark blue... indicating it got Really Really hot... should we take precaution to this or do u think it could just b the new brake slightly rubbing it causing it to heat up... (note: the other rotor was fine.. no discoloration)

Blued I'm betting the caliper is froze up , not retracting ...I'd take it back to the shop immediately
