Has anybody encountered this before? I have a 98 avenger 2.0 with 4 spd auto, the car runs and shifts great has new front brakes and tires replaced trans fluid and filter, wheel bearings and axles seem tight. the car makes a howling noise while driving and turning right, but not when you turn left. the noise does change pitch slightly with wheel speed and sounds likes its coming from beneath your feet. Any help would be appreciated

 

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing or Axle assembly to me

 

I wondered about that, I didnt feel any play in them but it might warrant further investigation. Thank you for your input

 

Our cars are famous for bad wheel bearings in the front ... sometimes there is play other times just noisey ...not really heard it stop going to the left ... that might be the axle
