Check engine light 98 avenger 2.5 v-6
okay here's the story again, CEL is on, code reads TCC convertor fault. speedo works fine, trans shifts great, car has no performance issues. chrysler dealer can't find any problems, they thinks its the solenoid pack, or input/output speed sensor. i'm going to replace these this coming weekend. this car had NO2 hooked up at one time, i think the previous owner blew the motor up, because i found a jasper warranty document in the glove compartment. also, the engine is awful clean for 72,000 miles. Could the stress of the NO2 which blew the motor, could it have damaged the trans inside??? like i said it drives great, shifts like it was new. i'm i missing something??? any suggestions?? i don't want to chase parts or replace the trans if its a simple fix. does anyone else have this problem?? i had to get a waiver to pass emissions inspection, $120.00. next year it goes up to $450.00 here in the great state taxes/fees, pennsylvania!! i need some help here! thanks! invsbl1
p.s., this is the last mitsubishi car i'll ever own(i have 2-stealth r/t's) fun, but a headache to work on.

I've been running N0S since 99 .... Tranny was rebuilt with shift kit high stall convertor ect ... It's held up well ...
Back to yours IF it was the output speed sensor the speedo would be out ... So that will save you one ... Have yo reset the light and see if it comes back ???
