TCM flashing?

Well I took it to AAMCO, where they did a trans scan and said the computer wasn't giving up any codes, then they said it would have to be either the TCM, the solenoid, or a loose connection. I figured it would be the solenoid maybe clogged since a malfunctioning TCM usually causes a second gear jam and if there was a loose wire, I don't even see how the trans would shift at all. The speedometer works fine, But I'm not sure if the solenoid for the A604 is on the outside or the inside of the transmission?
