I recently traded my 98 Avenger for a 2006 Dodge Charger SXT. I thought I was going to really miss my Avenger but the Charger is a pretty nice car. About the only place I prefer the Avenger over the Charger is in town. Even though the Charger is nice I can't zip it around corners like I could with the Avenger. After 253K miles I decided it was time for a change. The wife is pregnant so we are going to need something a little bigger than the Venge. Thanks for all the help with the little problems I had in the past. If I was going to keep the Venger it was going to cost me a lot of money. It needed tie-rods, axels, front hubs, something done to the tranny [posily the throw out bearing or the clutch] and the engine was staring to use oil and smoke just a little bit. So I guess it was worth getting the Charger. I am going to miss 32MPG on the highway since the Charger is only getting 25-26.

Congrats on the new ride ... at 253K you seem to have gotten the $$$ worth on the venge

And to imagine I only paid $5995 for the car back in the spring of 2002 when it only had 44K on it. I wish Chrysler would have continued on with the car making the updates as they went. It would be nice to have a lower priced alternative to the Challenger [even though I love the new Challenger]

I agree, they should have just evolved off of the old 1st gen chassis rather than giving us the bulky sedan they call an Avenger now!
