Question A/C Condenser to Receiver Drier Pipe Replace

Daughter had a front end collision on black ice.

Replaced radiator, A/C condenser, hood, banged-out right fender and radiator support.

Problem is I can't get the A/C tubing fittings off the receiver dryer. The small bolt head just sheared off, even after soaking in PB Blaster. Big time corrosion between aluminum connection block and bolt on receiver drier.

Any suggestions?

I could cut the liquid line tubing back to the evaporator, but I don't think they make any splice kits for A/C high pressure liquid lines.

Stumped on this one.....

Have you tried pricing a dryer ??? You could cut the nut off the tubing .. Then replace the nut ...

Yes, bought a drier and also the dryer to condenser pipe....waiting for them to arrive.

Problem is that I can't get the aluminum block that holds the tubing tight to the drier because what is left of the bolt (head is sheared off) is stuck tight to it due to corrosion!

I also bought an A/C tubing swager in case I have to cut the liquid line to the evaporator off the dryer and make up a new tubing end.

Sounds like a drill out /easy out scenerio , getting the old bolt out , as well as the other that might get the block loose and a good rap with a hammer to break the block loose

Today I drilled out the bolt connecting the aluminum block fitting to the receiver (dryer outlet liquid line fitting back to the evaporator). Wiggled the block fitting off with a vice grip. Then I installed the outlet connection I just took off the old receiver dryer onto the new receiver dryer. Left the rubber plug in the inlet port as I'm now just waiting for the new line back to the condenser

Gotta love stuck/broken bolts ... I use my Easy outs WAY too often
