Hey guys I have a small problem turning my car on. It seems to turn over but it shuts off right after. I basically have to pump the gas once or twice as I'm turning the car on. Could this be caused by old build up in the carburetor or do I need a new fuel pump? Once it's turned over I don't seem to have any problems other than a slight guzzling sound at low speeds. Like the gas trying to reach the engine. Also lost some power.

 

when is the last time that the fuel filter has been replaced?

 

Do you hear the fuel pump Kick on when you turn the key ???

 

You should definitely change the in-line filter and do the SeaFoam thing before getting into anything major
