ok... here is an update... the service engine soon light finally stayed on... 0300 came out... multi engine misfires... changed out cap and rotor(have limited time, so couldn't do wires and plugs) it helped a little... but problem still there.. no light though... ran some more seafoam thru her and when I moved the car.. I noticed a puddle of seafoam... can't really tell where it came from, but I am guessing the egr or this hose on the left rear side of the intake manifold ... does anyone know what line that is??? looks like tomorrow night the intake comes off.... So how many bolts are there??? thanks again Rick

couldn't sleep decided to tear the intake off... hopefully I can get it back together...Hahahaha... but from me looking at it.. it looks like the EGR valve... leaking in the metal housing where the little rod goes thru... besides plugs and wires is there anything else I should do before I attempt to put it back together??? thanks again... and if there is anyone in the Dover area that I can call if I need help that would great... airplanes and cars are a lot different

If the diafragm ruptured unmetered air is getting in throwing off the air fuel ratio

flashing = real bad.
dont sweat yet....
if your ses is just on then it is normally something non urgent to fix.
flashing means you need to fix it asap. i had issues like you, and found it to be my distributor is bad. pick up a haynes book and ohm out your coil. I replaced the egr,plugs,wires,injectors,f pump, f filter... just to finnaly pull out the little meter and see my coil is bad.. unfortunatly if you have the v6, you have to get a whole new distributor.

edit: didnt see a page #2, but if your issue continues (each fix i did fixed for like a week) try that^

Thanks... but it hasn't came back and runs better than when I bought it... but the R/T I just got has a little more HP... I am amazed at what 37 HP more will do... but the Avenger will stay and get some much needed TLC... it has 180,000 miles on her and again is runningstrong... she needs a little break

That is good to know because mine does that once in a while when I step on it from a stop light then stops after a few seconds. Now I know why!
