sticky e-brake on '95 avenger sport
ok I've been in cars where you can pull the e-brake ~10 clicks right? well mine only clicks 4 times and barely engages at all. I'm wondering if it's the brake cable or the calipers themselves, btw FTR I bought it used.
Auto or manual ?? The Auto's get very little use and can get sticky/bad cables /// ]
Manuals get more use /Also the parking brake pads are mega pricey and people try to adjuet them to not replace ... I get 8 clicks

You could pull the center console and tighten the E-brake cable from there I had the 2.0L manual the auto may be different. If I remeber correctly I used a 10mm wrench to tighten the cable.
Also you could pull the rear rotors/drums and check the shoes. Rear disc are a drum in hat design. So you will have to remove the rotors and calipers to get to the emergency brake shoes. I would take either sum Antiseize or High temp Brake lube and, see where the backing plat is all marked up from the brake hardware, lubricated there. Oh yeah almost forgot get a can of Brake cleaner and douche the mess out of both sides BEFORE applying the brake lubracant.
