Default Reliability/Repairs Questions

Hi all,

I'm looking at a 97 Avenger V6 AUTO with 240K AS IS. It needs a lower ball joint, parking break sticks (may need new cables or the current cables lubed?), 02 sensor engine light comes on and it needs tires. It's listed for a good price. I'm wondering how reliable these cars are? I'm also wondering what the level of difficulty is when working on these types of cars? I've worked on many hondas and acuras and I find them simple to repair with a manual. Can I find good e-shop manuals on the net?

Thanks

lowere joints are fairly easy to replace, sticky parking brakes pretty normal on an auto , probably never used... the O2 might be the check engine light (get it scanned and we'll tell you ) 240K is pretty high miles ... the 2.5 is a zero clearance motor , if the timing belt goes motor is destroyed ...
