'96 Avenger 2.0 won't start, help!
OK, I have a 1996 Avenger 2.0 5 speed. It cut off while I was driving it a few days ago and wouldn't re-start. I had it towed home and have been trying to figure it out since then.
It is not getting spark, we have checked fuses and relays and they are all good. The fuel pump is working. I have replaced the crank sensor and the coil. I also had to replace the connectors on each of these items because the original components are NLA per the Dodge dealer. I replaced the connector on the cranks sensor with a "kit" from the Dodge dealer and the coil plug was replaced the one from the wrecking yard. I'm certain they are both wired correctly.
I'm at my wits end! What else can cause a no-spark issue? Is PCM failure common on these cars? Cam Position Sensor? Please help.
