Exclamation 99 avenger 2.5 6g73 NEED HELP!!!

I have a 1999 avenger with the 2.5 v6 (6g73) here are a few of my problems.....

( 1 )Engine taps at intial start up ( 5 mins or so and then gos away when warmed up???? is this normal? never had a dodge?mitsubishi before...

I thought about adding lucas to my oil next oil change. Will it help or is it fine.

(2) High pitch wining. Have no clue what it is. almost sounds like a turbo...lol Its coming from front drivers side of motor. it gets louder as the engine revs and shift gears.

I have 2 thoughts Transmission or starter staying engaged.

I have no clue where the starter is so im not sure what it is. I would check but its hard to look under a car thats low to the ground and we have 6 inchs of snow.

BY the way my avenger is the best car i have ever drove in the snow. Honestly this car gos better in the snow than most 4x4 i have had.

If anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it.

Also can call, txt or email

you don't say how many miles ... the valve clatter can be clogged passages I'd do an oil flush and see if that clears lessens it

doubt it's the starter you'd have tons more trouble/noises
more likely are power steering pump/alternator ect with bad bearings ect even those are on the other side
