Default Overheating issue...

Okay so I have changed everything but the radiator. The thermo is new. Waterpump is new. I even replaced the fill throat gasket. How can I figure out what is causing my overheating issue. Also would it be a problem to run without a thermo until I figure out what the problem is???

Are your fans working? Also your radiator could be clogged with crap. Also check if there is leaves and garbage blocking the radiator and ac condenser. When does is over heat? Have you checked for a bad head gasket ?

Check your fluids (oil / antifreeze) for bleeding / mixing.

You can do a leakdown test, you should be able to rent the tool from Autozone.

about the bigger issue, i would first check the fans and their relays. Then i would check the oil for water. Generally, you can tell what is causing the over heating by asking your self "is it over heating while sitting still or driving". If it is overheating while My first quess would be the waterpump, or the radiator has a blockage in it. If it is over heating while sitting still, then i would check fans, relays, thermo, or for air in the coolant.

Is the coolant running low?
