It can still read properly then you have to verify it back to the PCM

 

alrigtht, the car starts now, but it starts hard. the key dance showed nothing of importance, just that the battery had been disconnected and a tps error, but that is brand new now, so it could have been from the previous tps sensor. changed the plugs and wires, and now it runs much much smoother, just that it starts really hard, not sure what to do at this point.
