For the last couple days the starter wouldn't crank intermittently. One time it wouldn't and five seconds later it would. Now nothing at all. I can hear the relay's latching when I try to start but no power going to Black/wht wire on starter. I'm in the process of tracking down the wiring diagram but thought I would throw this out there and see if there was any history of the same problem. I searched the threads but only found a couple and they didn't have any closure.

I know the starter is good because I removed it and tested it.

 

Sorry maybe i should post some information about the car. 98 avenger with 2.5, 140k miles.

It has the anti-theft system. How would I know if that is causing the problem. Is there a way to reset it?
