Angry squeaking noise when going over bumps and parked.

This week i started to notice 1996 Avenger ES would make some squeaking noises when i go over bumps and bumpy roads. At first i only noticed when i go over bumps. Now i notice the noise is sometimes there when the car is running and im parked.

Also my driveway slopes down. When i Turn the car off it also makes like a squeek and bang kinda noise. To me it sounds like a loose exhaust Shaking n banging against the car.. thats the best way i can describe it. The Exhaust is not loose so i don't think thats the issue. The sound seams to come from the passenger side. Sounds like the back of the car to me but im not sure.

I dont think its the shocks because it wouldnt do that if im parked as the car isnt moving. Someone said it could be the timing belt.. but i had all the belts replaced in Sep.2009

This has really got my flustered . The sounds quite annoying and i cant figure out what it is. I took it to my mechanic however hes booked today so i have to go back tomorrow. In the mean time i want to know if anyone else has had this problem or if anyone could shed some light on what it could be.

I'd check the motor tranny mounts , they might be loose and shifting

hmm ill run outside n check. Also.. this has happens since i bought the car. Theres a black box near the front passenger tire ( looking from the bottom of the car.. it makes a knocking noise.. quite annoying also. Just wondering whats in that box that could be making that noise. If i hit the box it will stop knocking for a few seconds then start again. Ill go check the mounts n report back

well i checked the mounts. All seam ok. The sound is defintely coming from the rear.. i know this because when i reverse the car out of my garage the car drops ( garage floor is a tad bit higher then the driveway is.. so i clearly hear the squeek when the rear of the car exits the garage but no squeek when the front exits the garage.

This is definitely an odd issue. Im well aware that my exhaust has some kind of hole in it somewere along the pipes ( closer to the front of the car).. as i can definitely hear it and smell the fumes.

Ok im being told the issue is the Lower control arms. They need to be replaced and apparently its going to cost big $. I know theres a lifetime recall so i called Chrysler canada. The lady took my Vin and told me the Repair was done in 2001 on my car and its not a lifetime Recall. Anyone got any ideas where to go from here?
Really dont want to spend $500+ to get this fixed when i shouldn't have to.

Sorry for Canada it does seem to be a one time recall, unsure if you bring it to the states. Rock auto had the arms for about $100, then you'd have labor

They didnt mention the recall. My mechanic just said hes very well aware of the avengers having the control arm problem. He also said im looking at big bucks to fix it depending on weather he can get the part or weather he has to order it from the dealer. I was told $400-$700 for parts and labour
