Default 98 avenger es... OBD II says" no signal from VSS "

ok... my car is in limp mode, speedo stopped working, dies when i take foot off gas, check engine light is on, OBD II kicked PO500, PO700, & PO731. Any help is greatly appreciated.....

VSS = vehicle speed sensor which sends a signal to the speeometer which also sends a signal to the transmission controller which inturn controls shifting.

a computer that doesn't get all the input it needs to function can't function. so by your description of the problem and code you found, it seems likely you have a failure with the vehicle speed sensor circuit. whether that be the sensor or wiring.

Likely it's the Output speed sensor in the tranny causing the limp mode and the no speedo
