Recently my passenger door will not trigger the interior lights to come on, I replaced the switch at the door jam and still nothing. The drive side works though.

Is the GROUND on the switch good ? I've seen them not get a ground on the screw

 

Found out the switches I was using came out of a 96 and didnt work in my 99. Once I put the right year switch in BINGO back to working thanks for the advice. Now if I can get my trunk light to shut on and off like it suppose to. Right now it stays on all the time.

 

likely the ground deal on the latch follow the wire on the trunk lid to the latch
