bearing thrown

Default bearing thrown

alright im looking at a Mitsu GST spyder and the bearing is thrown in the bottom end on the motor. has anyone rebuilt one of these motors before. its the 4g63t witch is basicly the same as our v6.

the 3.0 is not a bad rebuild but the parts are Pricey if the pistons/rings are damaged

you might be farther ahead getting a used motor from car-parts.com
I picked up a 9k miles motor for $600

what would cause the timeing belt not to move fast enough?

Timing belt is a mechanical function it should move as fast as the engine parts do.
I guess I'm not following what you mean by timing belt not moving fast enough

this lady said her sebrings motor was shot and i asked what was wrong with it and thats what she said. ive never heard of anything that would retrict the timing belt from running unless its a failure and it would move a full rotation
