Car was in a wreck but driveable....now dead
1995 Dodge Avenger:
I was in a wreck early last week. All it did was shred my bumper and mess up my hood. We took the bumper off and I preceded to drive to work the next day. Made it about 10 miles to the next town over and came to a red light. The car died and refused to turn back on. But here is the kicker. There is NO Power going anywhere in the car. No head lights, no dashboard lights, no brake lights NOTHING. We tested the battery and it has power. Checked the fuses and none are blown. What could be the culprit?

I have one that used to do that. I had to click they key to off then back on and most of the time it would start after that and have power again. I finally traked it down to guess what - a broken front motor mount. It was allowing the engine to mve too much and pull on something - what I dont know because after I replaced the mount it never happened again.
Its possible when you bumped whetever it was you pulled something loose. Id check your main power cables first, from the battery to the starter and battery to ground, then start going over all the harnesses you can find to make sure everything is tightly connected. And if yours is like mine, make sure the battery isnt grounding out on the chassis. I found the side post design to be rather...unintelligent and converted mine to top post and put a rubber protector on it.
