1995-2000 Dodge AvengerThe Dodge Avenger had smooth styling in addition to solid craftmanship. To this day you can find Dodge Avenger enthusiasts proud to show of their gems.
I am new to the boards and new to my Venger. The car seems to have a random problem when i leave a stop it stumbles and i have to pump the throttle to the floor several times before it gets any power and gets up to speed (when stumbling, it does move and maybe tops at 2 MPH). One day it wouldn't even start. I can't use the "key dance" (as i've seen it called several times on this board) because there is not a check engine light in this car (the light is burnt out).
I did find this thread; https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1995-20...regulator.html
and due to my prior automotive experience i want to say this is the FPR. Does anyone know of a way to test the FPR or do i just need to change it out and hope for the best?
First off you don't state what motor .... The I4 and V6 have FPR different procedures ...
I'm Betting that its NOT FPR but a IAC trouble since it happens from a stop
On the back of the Intake Manifold on the passenger side is a small dark tube that looks like it is going to the exhaust manifold. Is that what i am blocking off? If not, would you be willing to snap a quick photo of the EGR?
