1998 Dodge Avenger 6cy Having Problems...NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!
I have a 1998 dodge avenger i got out of a really screwed up deal and the car has been pretty reliable for awhile now. When I recieved the vehicle my firend told me it needed a new valve cover gasket and plugs and that would fix the issue it had, now the issue i was facing with the vehicle was an acceleration delay and a chugging that would happen occasionally when i was at a complete stop but the vehicle still ran just fine day in and day out....
I recently found the time and the money to fix the problem and my friend replaced the valve cover gasket, spark plugs, wires, and gave it an oil change... after we were finished the vehicle would smoke when started i assumed from old oil burning up and would chug chug and die when taken out of park if i do not keep the rpms up... If I'm at a stop and i put it in nutral and causualy rev the engine to keep it from stalling once i put it in drive whether im lightly pressing the gas or i push it to the floor it takes nearly a min to accelerate. I've looked into vacume lines and other randoms things but havent found a solution....
Can anyone out there plese help me find a solution or come up with some solid ideas to fix this issue... Thanks for taking your time to read this.....
