Hi!

I have a problem, the SRS light in the dash cluster wont light up when vehicle start up? Shouldnt it work for a few seconds and then shut off?

I have taken the cluster out and replaced the bulb, but still nothing, I have also tried in the other connector (there are two).

I guess the SRS system doesnt work if the light doesnt even come on to indicate its functional? The lamp doesnt work/light when the car is on.

I have checked fuses but there arent any that says SRS?

badvenge, do you have any clue? This is driving me crazy, isnt the SRS-lamp suppose to lit up when startup?

Mine comes on at start up but I'm the 98+ Unsure on the 95/96's if they come on at start up

I'd start logically and swap a bulb you know works and see what happens.

A high order scanner would indicate if there is a trouble.

The bulb should come on to indicate a PROBLEM

 

I have a 1996 ES and the SRS light does come on for a short period when starting - also comes on when just the key is turned on

 

I have swapped the bulb, it doesnt work even though the bulb itself works? Any ideas?

 

Sounds like a Computer issue , you'll need to see what feeds it
