hi im new to this, so i hope i do this right. my avenger keeps trying to stall when i come to a stop, ive taken everything apart and it appears to be normal. its got 88,000 miles, and this its first winter in 14 years. and other then luxury driving around and going to car shows the car wasnt really driven (until my daily car got wrecked) all of which is under a year old, all belts battery, brakes spark plugs, etc. the car reads at 12.8 volts, and doesnt go below 12.3 with ll the accessories on. im at a lost any ideas?

 

Bad EGR / bad IAC /or vacumn leak

 

okay ill check the EGR, and the IAC. i did check for a vacumn leak.

Block off the EGR and see if it corrects the idle , If it does you can leave it blocked off or replace it .
Remove the IAC and clean it and reinstall If she idles it was dirty , if not then try a new one

 

If it helps, I had a similar problem and it appears to have been the IAC. I got the part for about $40 from Rock Auto as opposed to about $75 from a local parts shop. I tried cleaning my old one and it seemed to help, but it was in bad shape which is why I bought new.
