Hello everyone I'm having a hard time trying to find out what struts I can put on my Car 97 dodge avenger... I just bought this car & i'm trying to find out how many struts i can put on my ride... I saw that alot of avenger fans had 2 struts in the engine part but not sure what they call them upper or front?? Can anyone Help?? & we can use Strut bars off Eclipse Mitsubishi right? cause i couldnt find any off ebay on r cars

 

Front upper tie bar:
The Neuspeed Eclipse 95/99 bar works the best all you need to do is shim out the windsheild washer bottle and the brake booster

unfortunately it's been discontinued ... So used is the only way

Eclipse bars can work but hit the V6 manifold you will need to bend the bar to clear and might need to notch the hood

Rear lower tie bar :
Any 95/99 eclipse works

D3 designs made a complete kit for the Avenger as well

 

Wow Really there are 3 struts on are cars then?? If so Nice I have found these kinds not for sure if its the same thing i can put on my car or not & not sure if the rear looks like that or what??

The upper is the one that will need bent and likely the hood notched

the rear lower is a bolt on ...
look at my pictures the neuspeed runs along the firewall

 

ok I looked at your strut on your car what is that the upper or rear lower strut? that first link on ebay the front upper strut I can still use that right i just have to bent & do something else to make it fit? YES front upper can be used but needs bent to clear the manifold and "might" need to notch the hood reinforcements to allow hood to close ...

Yes thats the rear lower It attaches to the rear "axle" to stiffen

 

oh ya so it goes on the back wheels in front of the gas tank or behind it? I never put struts on before

 

Goes to REAR of "axle" just loosen bolts and install
