If i would replace windshield, what should i look at?
There is some info on the shield itself, some letters / numbers.

I have heard many times, that Mitsubishi Eclipse and Dodge Avenger, 199x (1997) are almost same. Interior looks also exactly same.

But what about windshield?
How to find out, if specific windshield fits my car and which one doesn't?


If you know some website that talks about that, please give me the link.

I just must find out, if i can get new windshield from my country or i have to live with it till the end. I have asked some local dealers and one told me that if it really fits, then they have it.

But im not sure.
I could live with old one, but it's cracked and scratched alot.
Polishing maybe helps but still. New would be better.

The 95/2000 windsheilds are the same the eclipse will not fit
the sebring coupe 95/2000 will fit as well

 

Yep, one local shop told me by email that really, Sebring coupe will fit.
They said that code for it is: W1212 G without sunroof.
G = green.

Dunno where he found that code, fortunately my car is without sunroof and windshield for my car costs around 200 €. Takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. I guess i will let change it in summer.

At least i know now that it's possible to get it. Because really, my current one is in very bad condition.
If sun is directly in front of my car and i drive on highway, i can hardly see anything.
It's just so old.
