I had ordered a used assembly from ebay. I didn't think about trying to fix mine.
I will post the results when I install it.

Replaced the dash cruise control switch. It's working again.

I noticed after I installed the new dash switch, the cruise would not turn on with the paddle lever sometimes. I knew that my brake switch was running out of adjustment. I replaced the switch with a Standard SLS139T Brake Light Switch and now all is well with the cruise control. I hope this info can help others with 2g eclipse/avenger/sebring cruise control problems.

Question for Bad Venge. Are these cars problematic and high maintenance, or am I facing the neglect of previous owners? I really love the car, but my wife is concerned with the cost of restoring my venge.

I'd guess long term neglect/bad maintenance/poor upkeep

mines only had recalls and a few minor things in 100k miles
