Default Trunk lamp

My build sheet says that I have a trunk lamp. I can't find it. If your Venge has a trunk lamp, please tell me where it is.

Thanks. I think I found it. I found a harness tucked up in that area but no light. It appears that the unit was removed by someone.

It was a constant 12 volt and the ground switch is on the trunk latch

A friend picked up a lamp unit for me. It won't light up(new bulb). Any ideas? There is a tiny black contact switch on the latch unit. Do these go bad?

Check that there is 12 volts on one side then check that the switch grounds

Yes they go bad ground the opposite side directly and if the light comes on bad switch

On mine (95 avenger) it is inside the trunk, top, between the speakers, with a white plastic cover.

I removed the switch from the latch by drilling the rivets. I disassembled and cleaned the switch. Reassembled with a zip tie. Works fine now.
