Default Warning Stock transmission cooler inadequate.

I just purchased a 99 sport. And even though the car is shifting ok, altho a little clunky on downshifts when slowing down, i wanted to check over all the fluids. At 185,000 miles the transmission fluid is just completely burnt. Probably one of the worst cases i have ever seen smelled. I recommend anyone who has the auto to check thier transmission fluid and if it isn't the typical smell/color of atf4 to drain and flush this thing asap and install a small inline cooler before the radiator. Like i will be doing. burned fluid typically looks like engine oil and smells like burnt toast.

This is probably something most of you know but im new to Avengers and wanted to give a heads up. Its a miracle this thing is even functioning well with the fluid in this condition.

Common trouble on the A604 Tranny there IS a cooler inside the radiator most Still use that then add a 6 pass after it then return to tranny

I always prefered running before the radiator cooler. Running it after may drop the fluid temp below 185. To try and keep it in that sweet spot temp. But its just preference either way its better than jsut this stock cooler than roasting the transmission.
