A question....
again, as some may know, i purchased a 1997 avenger with 112,000 miles for $2350.
i took it to the shop, they mechainc told me that the 2 head gaskets are leaking, tires need balancing, trantsmition is leaking i think, and the wheel is shaking a lil bit when i am driving 70 mph or higher, plus, there is a squecking sound when ever i park the car, or start to drive from a stoping point.
the mechanic told me it would cost me 1,400 to fix all of the problems... or put a new engine with 48,000 miles on it for the same price{1,400}.
what do you think guys> is the price is accurate?

that is a long list of issues; is he going to fix the problem with the trans? personaly id do the motor swap, it will give you less milage so if you wanted to do any performance mods you have plenty of time to do it.. also is the 1400 to install?
I'd go for it. I will be honest and tell you that this is the best time to add any mods to that motor if you really wanted to do some. Headers and a good exhaust with a CAI would be ideal and relatively cheap.
Good luck.
Good luck.
